BOBBY JARZOMBEK To Join SEBASTIAN BACH For Summer Dates

May 6, 2005

Drummer extraordinaire Bobby Jarzombek (HALFORD, ICED EARTH) has posted the following update at his web site, BobbyJarzombek.com:

"I'm happy to report that my DVD, 'Performance & Technique', has been selling very well — my thanks to everyone that's picked up a copy so far. Warner Bros. are doing a great job distributing the DVD to the major musical instrument retailers. It's available at Guitar Center and Sam Ash locations throughout the U.S. and online at www.amazon.com & www.musiciansfriend.com and, of course, I also have the DVD available for purchase here on my website. Or you can try to snag a freebie by entering the FPE/Evans Drumheads contest over at www.f-p-e.com. Good luck!

"I just got back from Jersey where I was shooting a video with PAINMUSEUM for the song 'Speak the Name'. It was a 12+ hour day and we were all exhausted when it was done but it was well worth it. Todd Gukelberger of Evil Eye Productions directed the video. He had some very cool ideas with different camera angles and such and he welcomed the band's suggestions. I'll have plenty of pictures from the shoot when I do my next update.

"Due to a number of requests, I have decided to bring back the video clips of myself playing three songs from the SPASTIC INK 'Ink Compatible' CD. The Windows Media clips can be found in the 'Media' section. Also, check out the excellent www.drummerworld.com website out of Switzerland where you can view an extended clip of 'School' and two of the 'double drop exercises' with the pdf transcriptions. Thanks for the hookup, Bernhard!

"On the release front, the new ROB ROCK CD, 'Holy Hell', which I played on was released on AFM Records on April 4 and is getting stellar reviews. I really like how the album turned out. Rob and Roy Z wrote some awesome tunes and Jacob Hansen (RAUNCHY, COMMUNIC, MERCENARY) did a killer job mixing. The sound is very BIG and there is still a lot of clarity.

"I've updated my 'Discography' section to include the latest CDs that I've been involved with, including PAINMUSEUM'Metal For Life', ROB ROCK'Holy Hell', and the cover and track listing for the forthcoming DEMONS & WIZARDS disc, 'Touched by the Crimson King', due out on June 27.

"I'm sorry to say that I won't be taking part in Tim Owens' new band, BEYOND FEAR. I think the material that he and John Comprix have been demoing is some great stuff but due to my involvement with.... uh.... 'too many' other projects, certain 'powers-that-be' in Tim's camp were not into the idea of us doing a record together at this time. I think this is for the best since Tim's new drummer (and guitar player) both live in his area. That way they're able to take some time to work on the songs together and really gel. If I was involved, Tim would have to fly me out there for everything. But you never know what the future holds — of course, we will get our chance to collaborate on the next ICED EARTH CD.

"Last but not least, I have just accepted an offer from SEBASTIAN BACH to join him and his band on a number of (mostly) festival gigs this summer. I'm definitely looking forward to kicking out the jams with Sebastian, my HALFORD/PAINMUSEUM bandmate Metal Mike and Steve DiGiorgio on bass. We are doing 'Sweden Rock', 'Bang Your Head', and the 'Bloodstock Open Air' among others. For exact dates check the 'Tour Dates' section on this site."
